Spore The Next Level: Rebirth, S1E1 Released!

All right, onto the first episode of actual gameplay. In this part, we will scout the continent of Zhenauri (Aardvark123/dumblydum suggested the name) in order to find new cities to ally or attack to expand the glorious nation of the North Zhenaurian Republic. They may become our first allies or our first deadly foes... remember, it's up to you to decide how we proceed.

Anyone who's been around and playing STNL since 2011 will remember what the deal
is with these guys.

The original image of the version above; I decided this wasn't as good
but still good enough, if that even made sense.

Jercy's father Omalie. I introduced him after eme12 asked
"Why is Jercy in charge of this s**t?" (that's a direct quote) and then suggested that Jercy's father
be an important political figure to explain why Jercy has such influence. Omalie will primarily brief
you on what's happening in each part so you don't have to look funny talking
to a brick building.

Are you my mummy?

What's everyone looking at? Is it really that interesting?

Spore The Next Level: Rebirth, S1E0 Released!

At last, Spore The Next Level is coming back, and just in time to start 2017! Yes, I have released the first part of STNL Rebirth, a highly improved and innovative reboot of my beloved interactive series. This first part is a prologue that introduces the setting, characters, and mechanics of the series. Notably, you will be starting in the Civilization Stage on a single continent to help make Epindol bigger and more detailed. Also, I have renamed the Kleekoonanonis to "Kleekoonians" because eme12 and I agreed the old name was a tad too long. Also also, they don't have arms on their heads anymore, so rejoice!

A view of the Kleekoonian main city

Jercy (now Jercy D'Haar since the old surname sucked eggs)
stares at Epindol's moons. Annonsomil's enormous
size was made possible with a mod allowing for EXTREMELY
huge objects in adventures.
Two Kleekoonians wonder if there's more to life
than walking back and forth.

joined by a new Skomiste (which is an evolutionary relative
of the Kleekoonian).

The End... And the Beginning

As you'll probably all know, STNL and its sequel have been a big part of my life for the past 5½ years. Unfortunately, today I have good news and bad news:

The bad news is that I got together with eme12 and fungus3 on Steam a few days ago (on Christmas day, to be precise), and we agreed the Revolution Universe has run its course. I no longer feel like it's as enjoyable to play and make as it was when we started 3 years or so ago. I'm also starting to run out of ideas for my series, and I feel like it's become stagnant as a result. So, we all agreed to wrap it all up with fungus3's Anti-Spode arc in WoEC and move on to something better.

The good news is that something is a reboot of the Revolution Universe! My first contribution to this imagining will be a newer STNL, with more fleshed-out characters, races, and worlds. You'll see plenty of old faces and races (Jercy, the Kleekoonanonis, Jonterops, Garadreads, Terrans, etc.) that have improved personalities and backstories as well as new and radical concepts.
We've decided to not repeat the mistakes of the last universe as well as emphasize the things that made it great. We'll also pay more attention to worlds and characters and make them all incredibly unique. For example, planets will be larger and more detailed, and their inhabitants will have unique cultures and personalities (you should see what eme12 cooked up for the Garadreads, Roizelles, and Burkentons, but all will be revealed in due time). Also, for the first time ever, fungus3 will be severely limited in his ability to totally f*** things up for the rest of us.
As for this blog, I will continue to post new information and updates on the new STNL, which I'm thinking of calling STNL-Rebirth.

So while I'm kind of sad to see STNL² and the rest of the Revolution Universe go away, I'm excited to bring the new concepts we have to life, and I hope you all enjoy them too.

Part 42C Released!

I don't Want to make anybody sad... but this might just be the last part of STNL² (assuming I don't make an epilogue or something, but the nature of the SR-verse's ending might prevent me from doing that). But before we end the Spore Revolution universe, I might as well squeeze this last part out.

Basically, we help the Aveespoids by trying to find and destroy a Kaeran listening post for them. Unfortunately, things may not go to plan after all...

Yes, they're buck-naked. This was a suggestion from eme12
back in the day, and I decided to use it.
(Thank god the females don't have breasts like my new Siranians

Part 42B Released!

Welcome back to what may be the latest in the longest-ever chain of voting-related episodes! (I'll have to go back and check...)

Regardless, this next part sees us head off the the planet Vulphiah to meet fungus3's latest creations, the wasp-like Aveespoids. Naturally, since they were made by fungus3, they're led by yet another mating-obsessed woman with a swollen bosom and a shrunken brain. Will Jercy be able to cop his way out of another awkward incident?

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
(Yes, I know full well these are wasp-people; but I don't think
there are comedic quotes like this involving wasps and hornets).

Whenever I see Holly sitting amongst the grass of an alien planet,
I feel compelled to take a picture. I don't know why; perhaps
it shows her soft and gentle side.

Part 42A Released!

Yeah, it's been a whole month since I last made an STNL². Rest assured that this was not due to the horor that was the real-world election; rather, it was a lack of votes on the last part. But Pokemonkab helped me realize that the 3-vote thing doesn't mean I have to take a month-long hiatus, and now I'm back since I already had 42A prepared.

All that aside, this part is significant because it's where Jercy and crew finally return home! Unfortunately, nothing has stayed still on Epindol, and the Titan's brave souls will find themselves thrust back into the war-front...

A Toriin performing an orbital drop maneuver. Thank god this is SPORE;
otherwise the poor chap would burn up on reentry.

MAKE EPINDOL GREAT AGAIN!
Since it's been so long since we last saw it, I decided to take a
screenshot of Epindol to remind us all of what it looks like. I mean,
it's been over a year since we last had an STNL² adventure set on the
planet (not counting Pokemonkab's recent adventure, not because
I hate it or anything (naw!) but because it isn't an STNL² adventure
(it still is a SPORE Revolution adventure, tough.) Also, I'm
not counting the Reflectiverse arc because it wasn't "our"
Epindol).

Part 41B Released!

Welcome back to STNL²! In this potentially exciting part, we'll be crossing over with Pokemonkab's Be The God and visiting the planet Krelum, which is being harassed by female Nemletnegs! But thees aren't your typical Nemletnegs... they're renegade fanatics who won't rest until they've made love with a man at least once and want to make babies! And since they're pariahs even amongst their own kind, it means Jercy gets to indiscriminately murder them all!
(Yes, it's a contrived way to ensure Jercy doesn't suffer diplomatic repercussions, but the whole "almost going to war with the Nemletnegs" thing has been done before and is almost a cliche; and even if I did go down that route, it'd be annoying having to focus both on the Nemletneg and T'Ron wars, since I'm having trouble keeping up with the latter already!)

While the Nemletnegs realize their days are numbered, someone
shoot a missile at them. I think it's Jercy.
Bianca seems to have no qualms with killing these rogue
members of her kind. In fact, she rather enjoys it...
Tressha uses the lightning-swordy-thingy on her tail-fin to attack a
female Nemletneg's weak point (i.e. bosom) for massive damage.

BONUS SCREENSHOTS I COULDN'T FIT IN THE ADVENTURE:
In one of the few non-combat screenshots, a hologram of Coordinator
Vally rests in a field of flowers. It's adorable.

Two missiles courtesy of Jercy and Holly (I think) are lobbed
at an unsuspecting group of Nemletneg fanatics.

(Also, if you can't tell from the sheer number of screenshots I took, I had a lot of fun testing this adventure and blowing up female Nemletnegs :P)
